Hmm... just my own personal take on this, but the "model" look is becoming tiresome...
None of those girls would turn heads(except maybe Miss Skriver..)- but they make good clothes racks..! They just don't jump out as being particularly,well...."feminine"...
The required "look" has become so predictable, they're almost cloned..!
I'd like to see something different... something that makes you go.."WOW"...!

Oh.. and Merry Xmas...

P.S. I did however find a link on the Blog to Amber Anderson.....!!!

Interesting.

Since the context is the best catwalk models, why do most of the photos only show the faces and not the bodies? ... and one of the whole body shots that does show the model's body has it indistinguishable from the background. ... and since we're talking about catwalk models, what difference do the faces make anyway? And for catwalks, wouldn't a designer want all the models to look alike? Why would they want to take a chance on having one particular model outshine the others and steal the show from the actual 'Fashion'?

Clearly, there's a lot I don't understand about 'Fashion". I'm just wondering if anybody does.

TCav- perhaps the fashion show/designers and the photographer have a different view of the model...
one's selling the clothes and the other's selling the model...!
As for their faces- well I guess a portrait photographer wouldn't do a shoot in a junkyard- much the same as a designer wouldn't want a gargoyle modelling his/her clothing...
Your selling a dream,a fairytale.... and beauty is part of that,I guess...
Hell... what do I know...lol...

I've never really understood...why there is a fashion industry. Is it relevant is a question that pops to mind.
