I am so humbled and honored to receive this. For me this is a game changer. I earn my living from my computer and it is so slow. Photoshop takes forever to take changes and Chrome tells me that it needs to kill websites to continue, I tell it to wait and then go to get a cup of coffee and it is still waiting.

I have Photoshop cs (orig and its slow)and cs5 but cs5 is only used in emergencies, it takes forever to load and there are so many features I want to use but they take forever process.

I got my DSLR last year and found steves-digicams and signed up and started uploading pix (some are pretty cool) I take photography seriously. Started in photography in 1978.

Steves-digicams is the only photography forum that I am enrolled at, It's all I want.

I do look at a few other sites (I really like looking at others photos) but Steve's has the quality and my uploads have to meet the quality of the bar set by others (Carlo, you, I can't match).

In a way the photographers here intimidate me but I have to say they encourage me also.

I want to say thank for literally changing my life with this.

Thank You
Lorenww

It arrived on Wed afternoon in great shape. Being used to my old (10 years) computer this is insane crazy fast.
Seriously CS5 would take about a minute to load and pause between every process. On this, CS5 loads in about three seconds, YAY! RAW format is now quick and easy.
As soon as I get caught up on some programming the plugins will get installed and then it's back through the archives to see what I have.
In the old (lol) days, unless a photo really stood out, I would not bring it into Photoshop because of the time it took to open.

Thank you soo much Steve's Digicams, My life is changed. Also thank's to everyone on this forum for their support and maintaining such a friendly and helpful forum.
Cheers, Loren.

A PC with those specs should be a real "screamer" for virtually anything you'd want to use it for; with plenty of memory, a super fast CPU, drive layout, video card, and more. I'm jealous. ;-)

Congrats!

Don't get to use to that new computer, Steve sent it to the wrong house by mistake. I will PM you the correct address to forward it too. In the mean time have fun with the new computer.

Question for those involved was the giveaway random or did the person who pleaded the best case for getting it get it. Wondering for future give-aways. I wanted that and need that so BAD
