For my multimedia and gaming needs, I've been using my sister's computer for the past year or so. I have a computer that is over 9 years old, and it can no longer keep up with my multimedia needs. I'm in the process of getting computer components for my first build. Winning this awesome system would be a dream! The i7-2600K can easily be overclocked, making this system even faster for editing and creating vids. The SSD + mechanical hard drives would alleviate potential bottle-necking. The 1000W PSU would future-proof this system, if you ever decided to add a second graphics card with the ASUS GTX 570. Truly an awesome machine! Thanks for the chance Steve's Digicams, Intel, and The 3D Shop!

a wonderful computer, indeed. would speed up both batch processing (raw or jpg) and video processing for me - and just about anyone! i can only imagine how fast photoshop would resize and watermark pics, too.

Whoa.... Almost missed this thread. A system like this would most likely allow me to finally make the move from jpeg to raw as conversions are to time consuming on my old system. Best of luck to all entering.

Default Nitro boost to processing

This will give nitro boost to photographic processing.
On my laptop at core2Duo ,CS5 get stuck some and HDR took 2-3 minute to merge.

For the last four years my wife and Mom having been buying me camera gear, Canon 40D, 7D, L lens, studio lights, backdrops and even software. They have been secretly working at getting me back into wedding and portrait photography. Use to do wedding photography from 1970 to 1986, and now starting to go back to doing weddings again, with a little push from family. I have always found photography fun and now with computer there is so much more that can be done with photography. So having a supper computer would round off the gear list and help set a new career for me. This would be a great start to early retirement for me after 34 years at the same job I'm ready for a new career, even if it did take a little push from the family.
