that is true (waaaay up there) the camera doesn't take the picture....buuut it is easier to take a close up of a bird with a digital slr than a throw away.....
but i guess could still be done.....

True, having the right equipment makes the job easier. But, one still has to know how to properly expose the subject, frame it, etc.

As Barbara so eloquently stated as she corrected my oversimplistic comment regarding study of the arts, one can learn photography and one can buy the best equipment, but that doesn't make them a photographer.

I suppose there is some inherent natural ability in any task we seek, but with practice we can improve -- perhaps never master, but make gainful strides. Is any artist ever truly satisfied with their own work anyway?
