Default elements 10 and premier elements10

Do you need both of these. What does the premier do that the regular elements does not. I have elements 6, but wanting to upgrade to 10. I see where you can get Elements 10 and then you can also get the premier. Just want to know..is it worth getting the premier also. Thanks!

Adobe premier elements does video editing it does not handle still image editing
Adobe elements does still image editing. it does not do movie editing

Two very different programs, with very similar names.

Someone will certainly correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the Premier Elements adds video editing features that regular Elements doesn't have.

And you get the combo cheaper than each one as a stand-alone

G'day all

Can anyone with knowledge of PSE v10 tell me whether the dark-grey screen of v8 is still used??

PSE v5 had a light grey screen and on my laptop is all was easy to use
PSE v8 has a dark grey screen so that the black text for menus etc are well-nigh impossible to see and it gives me great eye strain to use it. The only option in edit> prefs is to swap the background colours from dark grey to light grey, but the menu bars and dropdowns are still dark grey with black letterings

ps- swapping computers/screens is -not- an option ... I live in a motorhome and travel for much of the year and the computer & cameras have a certain-sized lockable cupboard to travel in :-)

Regards, Phil

This is the main bit I'm asking about -
1- is the main screen background dark grey &/or light grey via the prefs, AND
2- is the menu text still using black lettering or have they 'seen the light' and changed to white lettering [because the background colour is grey]

Regards, Phil
