Default First time shooting video

I have avoided shooting video on my Canon 7D in the past mostly because I did not know what I would do with all video and how I would piece them together. This past weekend, I had an application where photos were not going to give me the results I wanted so I gave the video a try.

I used the Canon 24 105L lens on the 7D. The results turn out OK. I used Windows Movie Maker that was free with Windows 7 on my PC to edit the clips. For a free program and having nothing to compare it too, it had more functionally than I would have expected. There were also parts of the program that could have functioned better. I did not do any adjustments on the video other the clipping out section that I did not want.

The one thing that did surprise me was when the blurring that was evident when run in slow motion.

This under 2 minute clip has given me some confidence to maybe try some more video in the future. If I do more video I think I may try something like Adobe Premiere Elements.

Are other people here doing much with video and what are you using to edit?

C & C is welcomed or any other video shooting comments.

Clip is on YouTube at http://youtu.be/gIGi1-jOGEo
