Default New adobe 7.2 raw upgrade

Hi, I am wondering as I have the Nikon D5000 which is supported by my current Abobe raw program, if I were to download the new Adobe 7.2 raw upgrade would that mean it would not recognise the D5000.
I am asking this because I may get the Panny FZ200 which needs the new version.
Thanks

I can't think of any reason they would drop support for a camera as recent as the D5000. The updates normally just add new models, rather than drop older ones.

They added new models so the D5000 is still supported.

Just to make sure you're aware of it, since you don't say which version of Photoshop you're using....

Camera Raw version 7.2 requires CS6 (it won't work with earlier versions of Photoshop)

So, if you're not using CS6, you'd need to convert the files from the FZ200 to DNG if you want to use CS4 or CS5. The 7.2 RC of the DNG converter can do that for you (that way, you could open the DNG files using an older Camera Raw version with an older Photoshop release). You can get the 7.2 Release Candidate for the DNG converter from this page (check the box agreeing to terms and you'll see it in the downloads list).

I have now got the 7.2 DNG running but it says "you can use this for 30 days" after that it says" it will remind me regularly" ?? does that mean it's going to be a subscription?.
As a matter of interest I still have the Adobe DNG converter that I put on a few years back and that works ok with the D5100.
I've edited a pic with both versions and haven't noticed a difference.
I expect it is me, as I'm not as observant as I once was.

It's just telling you that since it's a Release Candidate (IOW, a version they've release to the public for testing in order to help work out any bugs) versus an Official Release. The actual 7.2 Release of the DNG Converter should be available soon at no charge.
