Default Lytro -- Worth the money

There have been some good spirited discussions lately. Part of the discussion was regarding the value of a product.

Now that the Lytro is hitting stores there is pricing available:

Is this camera really worth $399 to $499?? Is there enough value with the fact that you can change focus to any part of the picture worth more than lens interchangeability, sensor type, low light sensitivity or any of the many aspects of other cameras at this price point???

I am sure there will be quite a few people who will want it for the novelty - whether there will be enough to keep the company afloat is the big question.

The device has so many shortcomings with regards to a conventional camera at a similar price point (not least barely a 1mp output) I just cannot see it catching on.
