Default So long, everyone

With the world due to end tomorrow, I thought I would take the opportunity to say good bye, and thanks to all the folks here at Steve's Forums who have been so helpful and friendly, and given me lots of interesting things to discuss and think about.
And, just in case, by some unforeseen chance, the world doesn't end, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and enjoy the holiday season.

My understanding is that Vermont, as we know it today, will be swallowed up by a giant sink hole- never to be seen again. In its place will be an arid area similar to the Grand Canyon

But incase the prognosticators are incorrect, we'll do this all over again after the holidays

Here's what's happening in my neck of the woods:

Too funny everyone! Much to my disappointment, I woke to find that I still had to go to work this morning. I was rather hoping that the world would end and I'd get to be able to sleep in for a change.

The world didn't end in Ottawa either but we did get a major winter storm. The snow was so wet and heavy I could have used a concrete pump to move it!

Big disappointment here, too. Maybe the Mayans just ran out of numbers to put on their calendar - no appointments after the 21st - we'll be out of town. Just don't make apocalypses (apocalypsese? apocolypsesese?) the way they used to. Back in the good old days when you had an apocalypse, you knew it. Rains of fire, earth shaking, big floods, plagues, the whole works.
I guess we can all go back to normal until the next one, and Zig can get back to learning to breathe underwater. (oceans ARE rising, you know)
