Default Where'd the "poll" go?

I wanted to post a poll to see how many people would be interested in having a weekly photographic theme, challenge, or whatever we might want to call it. Say, a week where we focus on water or shadows or red things or...who knows? Anyway, there are already those interested in doing it, and I thought a poll might give an idea of whether or not enough people would enjoy this, enough that Steve might consider giving us an extra forum for it.

But I can no longer find the ability to create a poll. Where'd it go?

I’d do it.

It’s in my nature to I wonder about how it will work. Things usually work better if a few drive it than to open it to full democracy. And then there is the question of how much “for fun” is it. Do we actually pick a “winner” or “best of the week” (which helps drive some people to enter into this type of thing) or do we keep it really strictly just for fun and only collect pictures?

My vote is for fun (I’ve got enough competitive things in my life.) This also remove the question of who votes on winners, which is (to me) another benefit.

I agree with Eric on keeping it at the "fun" level rather than competing for the best shot of the week. I think that will encourage more people to participate and share.

Did I mention to count me in?
