Default Vivitar 3720

Good Day!

I'm looking at a camera that Future Shop in Canada is advertising and for the money (169.99 Can) for a 3.2 mp camera it "sounds" pretty good.

But, I am having a bit of trouble finding any "real" info or reviews on it.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I was at that site but very limited info. Followed the links provided and still could find no info on the 3720.

I'll keep searching though. If it's half decent the price is hard to beat.

do "you" know if there's a way to suggest a review by "Steve's Digicams"?

Thanks again

You wonít find many reviews of that level of camera and I doubt Steve would be interested. You might be lucky enough to find someone here who started out with it and moved on, but it isnít the kind of camera most people buy and then want to exchange tips and techniques with.

I would personally prefer a 2Mp with an optical zoom if that is your budget. The internal memory isnít sufficient so you will have to buy an SD card and you will need a charger and batteries if you want to use it much. One use batteries are pricey and alkalines donít take many pictures per battery. Digital zoom is nearly useless.

I would consider looking for something a little more capable in a refurbished or used camera. Maybe you could get something with a memory card and charger.

I noticed this in Steves Buyerís guide: http://www50.shopping.com/xPC-Nikon_...~S-6~OR-0~PG-1 You still need a charger and memory just as you would with the Vivitar.

You might look through the buyers guide for ideas on inexpensive cameras you might find in Canada: http://www50.shopping.com/xPP-Digita...ange_under_180 I would avoid anything without an optical zoom.

Thanks very much for your input. Very informative.
