geez...at least our own eyes don't have the purple fringing effect...that'd be nasty.

Kenny- This is a very serious discussion. A dozen people have expounded and expanded on their theories.

Back in the Sixties (in my day) we all wore purple vests or jackets. These garments had purple fringing down the arms and across the back. As everyone knows, purple fringes are indestructable. However, they fell out of style.
An agreement was made with various manufacturers to each take some purple fringing and dispense a certain amount with every product they sold. That is why we have purple fringing today- its actually contained inside each camera.

There now - don't you feel better?

hahahaha...thanks for that important and very very interesting piece of trivia setiprime. I didn't know that before.

Anyhow, what I meant was...seriously...that it's lucky that our eyes don't have that effect as we see in some digital photos shots. I mean, we could live with it..but it'd be weird hehe. This reminds me.. 'weird'... i before e...except after c ? hmmmmm
