Agree, the topic got us thinking! Which is not always a bad thing.

Now I have to wait till the snow is gone, so I can drag out my little MIG and try some shots in the back yard.

it may have been a "drive by" for which the poster will probably not benefit...but at least it made me think of a couple of things I didn't think of before. :idea:

Much better than thinking about the election for sure :-(

Sometimes a "drive-by" question will spark a good discussion, as this one did. However, when the topic is an oft repeated one (which camera, first wedding shoot, ...) it sends off the kind of sparks that cannot be captured using any of the techniques discussed above. Though at least one of the welding shot techniques still applies: stand back from it.
