Default Camera stores near Chicago O´Hare airport - URGENT HELP PLEASE

Hi there folks!!

Please, some urgent help from fellow forum members in the CHICAGO area needed!!!

I will be in Chicago O´Hare airport next Saturday (august 9th) for 8 hours, and I need urgent recomendations of the BEST camare store in the vicinity of the airport.

I wont have much time available, due to the international flight connection, and I need the best closest store possible, like 10~20 min taxi drive.

Could someone PLEASE help?

I was going to purchase my long dreamed DSLR at the nearest Harlem & Irving Best Buy store, using the online purchase for store pick up, but I just found out they DONT offer the Nikkor lenses I want for store pick, only only shipping!!!! :-(

So, my other option would be purchase both at the nearest camera shop. And i cant seem to find any on Google.

Anyone could PLEASE help me? I would appreciate a store I could contact by mail and check avaliablity of the itens.

In case its important, Im willing to purchase a Nikon D5300 body + Nikkor 16~85mm lenses.

THANKS in advance!!

There's Alpine Camera in Des Plaines, just north of O'Hare, near I-294. Yelp! gives them 2.5 of 5 stars.

There's also Calumet in Oakbrook, just south of O'Hare, near I-294. Yelp! gives them 4.5 of 5 stars.

Thanks, but none of these work for me!

The Alpine shop doesnt work on Sundays (date of my flight to chicago) and the other one doesnt hav an email on website, so i cant contact them!!

I can call them over my cellphone during workinghours due to cost, and cant call them from home because its too late and shop will be closed! Also, their store seems too far away from the airport.

Anyone have any other suggestion????

Those are the only two camera retailers anywhere near the airport.

I just called Calumet (630-860-7458). They're open on Sunday, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm. They do not have the D5300 Body Only in stock, and they do not have the 16-85 in stock. You can contact [email protected] for further info.

There are other camera retailers in the Chicago area, but they're farther away from O'Hare in downtown Chicago inside the loop.

BTW, my navigation program says that Calumet in Oak Brook is 14.9 miles from O'Hare's International Arrivals Terminal, or about 21 minutes.
