Default buying tip

Is it true that when new camera is realesed, it is better to wait because there could be some bugs and it gets fixed in the begining????

I am thinking about G3,

Thank you.

Companies often release firmware updates to address certain problems with a camera after the complaints come rolling in. It's hard to say whether the G3 is going to get better with age. I don't know how different it is from the G1 and G2 at this point-- if it's a higher Mp chip in the same box, I'm not sure I'd be that concerned- if there are drastic changes then maybe put it off a bit. Best advice: wait for Steve to review it or (dpreiew) and make sure it is going to be what you want before you drop $1000.
