Default Dream Photo Location

Popular Photography is doing a photography survey and one of the questions is:

If you could go to one place in the world to capture your dream photo, where would it be?

So, where would it be?

I answered "The UK" figuring that certainly is a place name, but it encompasses the largest area in which to shoot! I probably should have just said "Europe."

Plus, I've never been anywhere off of the North American Continent (except for the Caribbean).

I notice how you don't specify what the photo goal is, just the location.

In that vein, I'd say on an African Safari. Or full access to the Galapagos Islands (which basically no one has now, not even residence.)

Augusta National Golf Course. I would want my picture taken on every shot that I made on the course. A close second would be Pebble Beach Golf Course.

The Playboy Mansion (hey somebody had to say it).

Next would be one of the better (more ornate) archeological sites in Egypt, Thailand, China or South America.

The question isn't mine, it is from a poll that Popular Photography (see link in post above). The question is quoted in my post, so you might want to discuss the wording of the question with them.

Maybe if you get a good tax refund your wish can come true!

You are very helpful with your link. I have been saving my change for the last 3 years for a trip to Pebblebeach after I retire. I currently have 5 three liter bottles of change. I need 10 bottles for the trip. 5 bottles go for my golf and 5 go for my wife to shop while I play golf. Each bottle holds about $350 of change. Green fee and cart for 18 holes at Pebble Beach is $300.

I would like to go to India.
I have heard so much about the colors and the wide diversity in the types of lifestyles. It is amazing. On one side of the street one might find an extreme end of provety, where food is a "luxery" and just nearby, a cybercafe where YUPPIES meet to exchange their latest take on Armani,Gucci or Prada.
To me, its a cultural feast.
Not to mention, they have hundred of different God.. yup.. its all good

Wow, that is one serious package, and they are donating (at least some of) the money to a good charity. Not bad.

Now we get down to the brass tacks... due to a problem with my skull I get very sick when I fly. So I guess I should have included "I'd love to do these things if I could fly".

I only included my point about not what the pictures is because that changes my answer. I was listing a place I'd like to go to photograph (which includes the amazement of just being in that location) as opposed to just being able to take a certain photo.
