Default Section Description thing on Steve's Home Page

Hi Steve,

I have been a loyal follower of your site, and lurk here frequently.

I do have some feedback on a recent change to your site format that is driving me crazy, however.

You recently made it so that when you mouse-over the main page titles, a description of what is on that page is presented. The problem with this is that it blocks out all the other choices below that, which, to me, is very frustrating.

I hope that you will carefully consider whether or not this feature really benefits the users, or whether others share my opinion.

Thanks, Steve... keep up the good work!

Judd

I noticed this recently too , and to say frankly , it bother me a bit , more than help :P
The idea is excellent , but I prefer it more "subtle" and/or a bit far way from the current cursor position.

This said, I also like to say a big thanks to Steve Forums , Steve , and all the team's members for the great works for sharing and informing !

It all depends on your display setting: At 1600 by 1200 it's actually quite informative...

I made the popup box drop down a little lower and I also shrunk the size of the text in the box. As for it blocking the other menu items - just move your mouse OFF of the text or inbetween menu items and the popup box goes away ...
