Default Free Mosaic Image Divider Please

I make photo mosaics with the Centarsia software.

It basically just takes all of your images, makes little thumbs from them, then puts them together in a certain way so that it looks like another specified image from a distace.

After making a mosaic, you can save it as an enlarged image which ends up being about 100 mb so you can print off a poster from it.

What I need is preferably free program that will take that huge 100 mb image and divide it into a bunch of smaller images which can individually be printed and then put back together.

I alread have a couple of programs like this, but one of them doesn't work because of memory issues and the other is only a trial version that leaves water marks.

If anybody knows of such a program that is free, please tell.

Funny, have you ever thought about copyright issues?

basically all pictures on a forum are copyrighted by their respective owners, and you should ask permission before using them.

Having a few photos here online, i would like to know if you have used one or more of my photo's.

Marc, (s)he didn't say that (S)he was using any photos that weren't his own, and wasn't looking for a hack to use a comercial program.

user2786, have you tried simply using your photo editor to crop out chunks?

No, I never use anyone's photos beside my own. I don't see the purpose of taking others personal pictures and printing them to hang in my own house for any reason.

I have cropped the pictures on my own before, but it takes a long time to cut a large image into dozens of other images - especially when dealing with hundreds of megabytes.

U2786,
I was just passing through and caught your post.
Thought I'd toss this your way:

A program called "Dicer".
Take a look, you probably won't need to use the html it will also create, but the results are maybe what you are after.
