Pure scam, for sure. Just look at those "wannabe" english writing errors. I would just ignore it.

RUN A MILE FROM IT!!!!!!!!!!
Over in the U.K. there was a similar scam with used cars that were supposed to go to the U.S.
The owners were approached with the same" too good to be true" offers and ended up getting burnt for shipping costs.
I think the sellers were sent a draft which covered the cost of car and shipping + more, then some emergency came up the other end and would the seller be able to send the extra money back, so they sent it off.
Needless to say the draft wasn't worth the paper it was written on, so just STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

One other thing, ask yourself how much is your camera worth new in Asia?

If it looks like a fish, smells like a fish, and swims like a fish, then it probably is a fish.

I take credit card payments with my own terminal, but this does sound suspicious. There's really no reason for him not using paypal, is there? I mean it's free for him. I like having people go through me directly, b/c it's less expensive than paypal. However, most ppl still go the paypal route. Just sold my A80 no problems. The thing with ebay is you just never know. Maybe this guy is one of the ppl who have gotten burned by paypal. I still think I would pass on his offer. Good luck selling it!

I just thought of why he would probably want to use a credit card. Once he receives your camera all he has to do is tell his credit card company (assuming he is actually using a legit card to begin with) that he never received the product and that he is contesting the charges. He will then never have to pay the $700 and he'll have your camera and you'll be out the camera and have nothing to show for it. The address he'll have you ship it to in Asia (if he's really there) will be a drop box. It would be impossible to track this guy down if he skips out on you with your camera.

what I'm wondering is... what the heck is this guy doing... REAH... RIGHT... he's going to stock his shop buying crap individually... it's called wholesale and markup if you wanted to actually start a 'shop'. ... reaks like a fish who's eaten a scam worm!
