Default MemorySticks

Is there any difference between MemoryStick, MemoryStick Pro, and MagicGate? I am currently using MemoryStick, but I see that my camera also takes MemoryStick Pro. Is one better then the other, reliable etc?

Memory Stick Pro has a higher transfer rate. However, only the latest (I think about a year old) Sony cameras are compatible with PRO.

Is MagicGate supposed to be even faster then "pro," or does it offer something else?

Thanks for the previous answer!

Ahh, found what I was looking for:

That might provide some clearer help.

Thanks! I really love my F717! Which Sony do you use? Or, are you using a Konica Minolta that takes MSs?

Great camera too. I recently bought the DCS-P52 as I am completely new to digital photography. It's a 3.1 mp, takes good pictures for quick shots, etc. Kind of blurry on indoor shots though
