Default action photo in dark room

Hi all, I am new to photography and have a quick question.
What is the best way to take action photos in a darkroom, like
My 7 year old schools play.

Camera in a Canon G-3

Thanks,
Donny

I agree with Brad, except: if you're sitting behind someone, the flash might just illuminate the back of their head, tho. Bounce the flash up if you have the ability - sit close. Or maybe even skip the flash if it's not catching the action right - lighten in post-production with an autofix command or enhance if your software offers it.
