Just wanted to say thank you ahead of time for your response and any input you can share...

Here's the deal... I currently have a Sony DSC-70 Digital Camera that I have been using for the last few years. I take alot of pictures and would like to consider myself a professional newbie when it comes to the wonderful world of taking pictures. My cousinis getting married in a couple of months and asked me to take pictures at her wedding. Now I have an excuse to get a new camera. I was wondering what I should be looking out for. I want something that will take good pictures for her wedding and that I can use with my everday freelance picture taking adventures. I have a small budget of about $1000. and was wondering if I could get some ideas of what I need to buy. Thank you.

You are right on the cusp of being able to afford a DSLR. I spent $900 on my DReb. BUT be aware...a DSLR is a black hole that you throw money into, or want to:shock:

I love mine, but you are always wanting this or that. I just ordered a new lens and am FINALLY getting a decent bag this week. I got a RAW program last week...

Sigh.....................:?
