Signatures are currently disabled, probably permanently.

According to Steve, there are no signatures in this forum. Since you can store attachments online now instead of hosting them elsewhere, you could create a signature as an attachment. Just create the file, upload it, write down the filename and path, then include it at the end of your message.

I guess Steve and I posted at the same time. I think my idea will work. I'll try it tonight.

Thats OK I thought I was missing something simple.

BTW Steve do you make a point of reading every post that passes through or just the ones that catch your eye.

I must admit i liked the signatures as i could see what cameras people were using to get some of the great photos i've seen on this forum. :-)

By the way jabtas, i like the firework photos in your gallery. I might try some myself this November. :-)

Thanks for the heads up jackrussell.

I was amazed how well the firework pics turned out as I had to hand hold them, but be prepared to get a lot of missed shots. I took over a hundred that night and probally got less than twenty good shots, with the best of the bunch being put on my gallery.

But hey thats the beauty of digital, wasted shots don't mean wasted film.

You can still "add" a "signature", ya know!

Just create a short phrase, save it and edit copy, edit paste it to end of your post.

If signatures are available but just disabled, I, for one, would like to see then reactivated. I like them as long as limits are placed on size and animation.

That's the problem, I don't have any parameters for it - it's either on or off and some people "write a book and advertise" in their signature lines so we opted to just do away with them. If someone wants to know something about you AND you want them to know - just add it to your profile information - click on the username over on the left and voilla!
