Does anyone recognise this bird. It is the size of a smallish goose, but I can't find this in any illustrations in my Readers Digest "Birds of Britain"

If you can catch the eye of checklg, is a good nature photographer (mostly birds) in the UK. So I would bet he could identify it... at least he's got the best shot of any one here!

Kind of looks like a Rouen Duck. Or possibly a Mallard Cross. I would guess this is in a domestic situation where ducks tend to cross breed. Many different types of ducks are thought to originate from the Mallard line. I'm no expert though.

Definitely a Mallard cross, possibly with a Black Duck by the colour of the wing flash.
