Has anyone purchased through Finetronics.net? They have a very attractive deal on the Nikon D70 kit. Maybe too good. They don't take credit cardsbut their site touts a very reasonable return policy. hmmm

Thanks lynn.o

They aren't listed at resellerratings.com which seems odd.

Another thing, they are located in Helsinki, Finland (why are their prices in dollars rather than the Euro, unless they want to conn Americans)??? If you are in that part of the would it wouldn't be a bad thing to shop there where you'd have Euro laws on your side, but if you live in North America I wouldn't want to deal with them.

There was a lengthy thread on another forum about all of the questionable issues surrounding their offerings. Seems like I remember someone checking the street address they used and it was an empty lot.

There is no free lunch. If you'd be willing to gamble your D70 budget in Vegas, then you'd probably be just as safe, well, almost as safe, trying finetronics.

I really love this answer in their FAQ:

"What payment methods do you accept?
Due to the high risk of credit card fraud we accept payments only via MoneyGram money transfer service."

That means they get all the money and don't have to send you the product, as well there's no way for you to get a refund.

They have changed their name to digibest. (aka digi-best ) and are still operating their unlawful scam. Buyer beware. If it seems too good to be true, and your money is going to finland.....it is.
