Can someone give me some ideas on how to make someone smile or laugh before snaping a picture without saying the same old boring word of CHEESE?

Thanks

I would say it depends on the age of the subject.

I've used "peanut butter and jelly sandwich" (as the 'ich' ending ends with the mouth wide open. The other goal is to get them to giggle, if they are young, as it seems a silly thing to say.)

"cheese" has the same benefit ('cuase of the "ee" sound.)

The word NICE seems to work also. It pulls the mouth up but not as hard as CHEESE does.

When I was younger and my mom would take me to the studio to get my picture taken, I would sometimes purposely say "cheese" with a scowl on my face.

A photo studio I worked for uses "Smelly feet" with children. Works well.

I once got so fed up doing a wedding for a friend that without thinking, whenI had the "brides family" all lined up and there were nothing but scowls, I said

"Say SEX please". It worked, and has continued to work too! Not for use with children of course

I tell them to count the hairs on my head. Because under that Taylor Made hat is no hair.
