Default Konica KD-400z, Kyocera Finecam S4- which one is a better ch

I am fairly new to digital photography, and I am simply looking for a compact, easy to operate camera that will fare well in traveling situations and low light scenarios.

The Kyocera seems to me a fine camera with most of the features usually found on a 4 MP camera, however i could not find the specs of Konica,
The average price of the Kyocera is about $550,
If I was to buy a Digicam for that much money, i would surely look forward to buying the 4 MP camera manufactured by Nikon, Canon, Minolta etc.
It is your choice though.

thanks for your insight.
it's weird though, i find that most sites view the finecam 4 as a pretty poor camera- with sub par image quality, i wonder if that's true in general with Kyocera lenses?

Before replying to the post, i just checked the specs of the camera and not the user ratings and was not aware of the quality of the pictures taken by the camera, on the features front the camera seemed OK to me.
If you have already done your homework on that issue and found it to be a poor camera, why do you still think to include it
in your narrowed down search.
I don't know much about the quality of Kyocera Lenses but am sure they can not beat the quality of the Nikon, Canon and other Quality Japanese Lens producers.

I would like to add to my earlier post that even the Expensive Contax cameras are produced by Kyocera, however the Optics used for Contax cameras are the Legendary Carl Zeiss,

P.S. Camera resolution and the CCD, which calculates the pixels, greatly determine overall image quality, but
lens quality also plays an important role.
