I have Powershot A-75. I shot a 2 min. 15 secs video ( 15 fps ). The size of the AVI file was 39 mb. I wonder how the 1 hour movies can fit into one CD ( 700 mb ) when 2min 15 sec AVI file with my A75 is 39 mb.

I have used this AVI file with some software given in the Canon CD for "EFFECTS". It only added two "effects" one at the beginning and the other at the end of the movie clip and the resulting output AVI file is whoooooooooooping 392 mb for 2min 15 sec.

Can someone throw light on this issue please..

Hari

You have to join a video editing forum and learn about compression, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2...you probably already heard of MPEG-3, but that's for music (MP3).
