There are adapters that let XD card work in other media slots but I was wondering if there were converters that let other media work in xd slots. If anyone knows of any it would be greatly appreciated.

... Kind of tough isn't it?

Because of the smaller footprint, one can design a holder/carrier for xD to fit into other media. How would one stuff a CF card for example into an xD slot (not counting the extra 40 electrical pins or so)? :?

Secondly: Why would anyone want to adapt xD to other format since it cost more to buy, is less dense, and need an additional adapter on top of it in order to use it in the other format?

I was thinking mabey there would be something for SD for example because its smaller. It is also way cheaper so I was just thinking of media cost. I was also just kind of curious.

You may want to try this approach:
http://www.delkin.com/delkin_products_usb_bridge.html

This device is battery powered so you can copy your xD card to any other formats through a USB card reader... and then re-use your xD card again.

... Just trying to help

There's many other products... You can transfer to other media like portable CDs or hardisks as well: http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...18&forum_id=22
