Default C-4000 vs G2 in low-light conditions

I am looking for a digicam that will take great people pics in a low-light environment (e.g. dim-light restaurant, night time in a backyard, etc...). Which would you suggest?

Default Which Camera

Based on the specs of the lens, I would say the G2 may work better in low light enviroment. The Olympus C4040 has a better lens for low light than the G2.

Default

The G2 also has a focus assist illuminator, the C-4040 does not, unless you are using the external (and expensive) Olympus FL40 flash.

Default Low-light conditions

Thanks for the input. I really appreciate it. I have tried different digicams in low-light and some are very disappointing. Once again, THANKS!!!!
