Alan T,

I recommend that you purchase the 20 UKpound shareware "TVwriter" from http://www.satsignal.net, which will allow you to put edited, cropped and rotated images back on to your digicam card. If you don't, you're stuck with the original digicam file, and only those cameras with an attitude sensor turn portrait format images the right way up, so your viewers don't have to lie sideways on the floor.

Like you Alan a TV out was a 110% essential requirement for me at my last digicam upgrade. But I wonder why you need anything special to load images back to the card in an altered form for TV viewing??

I don't know the details, but if you edit an image, even with an editor that claims to retain the EXIF data, it generally turns out that the camera won't recognise it, even if you obey the filename convention, and put it in the correct directory structure.

David, the TVWriter author has worked out just what you need to do. Try it & see for yourself - it might be easy on your camera, you never know!

Alan,

My experience is limited to my two Sony Cybershots. With both of those I can put any image from the PC to the camera....just as long as I give it a filename in the same format as the camera.... like DSC0001234.

I appreciate the link though and will download the demo version to see if it makes the process easier.

David
