Hi Doug, As JimC said:

I'll bet that lots of users wish they had B&H less than a mile away.

Me too, but I live many many 1000's of miles away in New Zealand.

Even so I have purchased 3 digi cams & cards from B&H in recent years.

I can confirm the advice given about B&H. Their service was excellent,

the items arrived promptly in good condition, at a better price than

available here including shipping. Glad you have chosen B&H.

You wont be sorry. Goodluck, and good shooting.

Thank you all for providing me with the assurance I think I needed to solidify spending the extra dough for the extra service. If I can get off early enough tomorrow, I'm heading down to B&H for my DC ! :| I only hope that I don't get last minute indecisiveness and wonder if I should get the "other camera"... But that's another discussion for another forum, so I'll just go and head on over there now

Doug.

One more thing. Looking at B&H's site, they list the 7440 as $269 when putting it in the cart. With S/tax it comes out to $303. Now what I'm wondering is if it's only this price when buying online ? Because it's listed as being $299 flat before adding it to the shopping cart.

Well, I'm now the owner of a Kodak DX 7440 ! Went to B&H, walked around like a kid in a toy store for a while and then headed on over to the sales line for my gift. Man, that place is so freegin' organized and well maintained that it really amazes me. From the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave, things are jammin' with the utmost fluidity and the salesmen couldn't be more courteous and helpful. I'm glad I shopped there, and will not hesitate to do so again for my next DC or DC accessory.

Stay tuned for pics in another thread..

Happy Shooting!
Doug

Congrats on your purchase, Doug

You may want to see if B&H offer extended warranty on your purchase.

Have fun shooting
