This is non-photography related. I don't pretend to be as poetic as some of the members of this board, but I would like to offer my sincere thanks to anyone who has served or is currently serving in the military. I hope you enjoy today, you have much to be proud of and I truely thank you for your service.

On this, Rememberance Day, lest we forget not only those in the military but also everyone else who have had their lives cut short due to war.

I'd like to add the following traditional Rememberance Day poem to your tribute written by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD 1872-1918 Canadian Army:

IN FLANDERS FIELDS

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
