Default Olympus C-3000Z hot spot

Hello all. I have an Olympus C-3000Z digital camera that I purchased about a year ago come this January. The unit takes fine pictures but I have noticed some "blemishes" in the output (.JPG) file. It appears that their is a "hot spot" or something like that on each image. It always appears as a very light green defect on the .JPG image in the same place on every exposure. I have also noticed this blemish is visible on the LCD viewfinder on the back of the camera when it is (the viewer) on. Is this a defect in the CCD and should I complain to Olympus or what? Any help, insight is appreciated.

If the camera is under warranty then contact Olympus immediately. From your descripition, you proable do have a hot spot and the CCD may need to be replaced.
