Hi folk,

I have a friend with a Mac, who now wants to send pix to friends via email.

Sheneeds some sort of pic re-sizing facility. Ideally it would be cheap, or even free if possible and obviously compatible with Mac.

If there isn't anything available, I thought maybeshe could download Gimp (with help, as I've heard it's not easy), and she could use it's file manipulation features instead.

Any advice or info. on this would be much appreciated.

Canna.

Canna,

If your friend's Mac is running OS X, iPhoto is a built-in image viewer (free). It allows you to simply click the photo(s) you want to email and click the "email" button. You then get a choice of standard resizes. The photos are then attached to an email which just needs to be addressed.
