From the replies to this post and the reading I've done on the Dimage 7i / 7hi, I think I've been converted.

I have 2 more questions

1. I plan to buy either the 7i or 7hi. In your opinion is the 7hi worth the extra $250?

2. Looking for suggestions on the best place to buy the Dimage on-line.

Once again, Thanks for the help,
Danny Ayo

Default Fujifilm S602 Pro

Hi there,

I own the Fujifilm S602Z, the S602 Pro's little brother, and I think it's a great camera. I think the Pro is probably more in your price range, though I'm not really sure what features it adds over the Z. Check them both out, but just to give you an idea the S602Zoom retails for $800 and I was able to find it on the web new for $590 at centraldigital.com.

Large, light-gathering lens with 6x optical zoom (35mm-210mm equiv), shutter speeds ranging from 15" to 1/10,000th and f-stops from f2.8 to f11. Since the Pro costs a bit more, I think it might even do a little better.

I think there's only one version of the S602, but usually the word "pro" is dropped from the name.

Sorry...I didn't mean the S602 Pro....you're right, the only S602 model is the S602Z. I actually meant to refer to the S2 Pro.

Steve has a preliminary review out currently. No conclusions or pictures, but it sounded pretty considering the price. Unfortunately I just purchased a C4040Z, so I'll hang with that for a while.
