Default Best Software Solution: Red/Pet Eye

Can anyone recommend an application to quickly and simply remove red eye and pet eye from digital photographs? A program which allows batch correcting of these images would be ideal, but is not neccessary.

I've been told that the software which come included with Kodak's picture CDs simply removes red eye on command, so i know it's possible, but every application i've tried requires me to manually locate and isolate the offending eyes in each picture which has proved to be an extremely tedious process.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance,
James

Default CompuPic

I like CompuPic-- it's easy and quick, although it does requires you to do it manually. You just hit "e" to select the redeye reduction tool, and click on the red to remove it.

Does everyone just remove red eye and pet eye manually? There's a lot of digital camera users out there and this simply doesn't seem possible to me.

I would think it woundn't be too difficult to create code which would scan an image for the offending common red or green (pet) color and locate the same color of similar size to locate and repair the image.

I also recall seing at one point software which seemed to sell itself alone on the fact that it removed 'pet eye', sound familiar to anyone?

Microsoft Picture it! has a automatic red eye
removal feature. It's easier to use than most
Photoshop type programs. Plus you can buy it
for $20. I would be the last person, to "plug" a
MS product, but this program is easy to use.
