Hi.

There was a very good priced offer for the canon 20d at amazon market place and I started to contact the one who sells them for only 900€ (Canon 20D + kit lense)

Here's what came out. A very strange story if you ask me.

I changed names. MrX is the one who offers the cams and *me* is... - guess who. ME!

OH! And you have to begin reading at the bottom.

----------------- EMAILS -------------------

Please mister,

I`m very desperate right now,i can lower the price but only buy it!.

You are my last possible buyer and i need to sell the camera. You will not regret.I know is a little weird and complicated my mehtod but is the safest method that i can afford right now.

Please make me and offer and reply wiht your decision

I hope that the Cristhmas Spirit should take part in you soul!

Reply asap!

Hello,

I'm sorry, but I'm only gonna pay via paypal or a trust service. Your method of using western union seems a little strange and actually I still don't get it right how you're planning to to it via WU. Plus, I don't have any experience with WU.

Sincerely yours,

*me*

No,the camera is exactly like the camera you see in the stores and sorry about paypal but i don`t have an account from last month when some damm men broke into it and stole a lot of money from me.That`s the real reson because i sell the cameras so cheap because the holidays are near and i need money.

Reply asap!

Hello,

I got two more questions:

1) is the cam equal to a canon 20d + kit lense I would buy in a german store or are there ANY differences? (battery charger e.g.)
2) Would you agree using paypal? I don't see a disadvantage using paypal im comparison to your method.

Sincerely yours,

*me*

hi,

But my method is very safe and fast.Because the holidays are coming in soon i have to use a reliable, fast and also very safe service to get paid/deliver the camera.

I closed the listing because a lot of buyers are willing to buy my camera and 2 of them are very sure about it.

SO,because you were the first man who contact me i respect, and follow your decision and i`m ready to sell the camera to you!

REply asap!

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in purchasing my Camera.First of all I

must inform you that I'm in LONDON,ENGLAND.

The cameras are new,all accesorries in not-opened boxes, bought from one of the major Canon dealers(secret source) with 36 months

warranty international.I will send the CAMERA with FedEx International.

The price I hope to obtain is 900EUROS(FOR 1 CAMERA)

(this price includes the shipping ) and if you agree with this price we can start

to complete the transaction.

I prefer money order because in this way I will ship

the camera in the same day you make the payment. During the time I

learned that the best deals are closed when the risk involved is

minimum.

You will arrange payment through Western Union

I have something safe for you because I want you to be sure that

you will receive the camera and I hope we will collaborate in future

too.

Look what I can do for you:

- You will make the transfer to my location but not to my name (you

will use your best friends name for example as receiver's name) so

you can be sure that I will not pick up the money until you get the

camera. So you make a deposit at Western Union and you will give me the

transfer's details (MTCN, SENDER'S NAME, RECEIVER'S NAME) so I can

check that the deposit was made. After I verify I will send you the

camera immediately.

- Only after you will receive the camera and check it if it ok you will have to change the receiver's name of the transfer to my name so I

can collect my money. So until you will have the camera in your hands

the money will be deposited on your best friend's name at Western

Union agent.

I think it is better to not inform Western Union that you will

change the receiver's name in a few days because it is possible they

ask you to pay the fees twice (fees that are quite big for such an

amount). When you will go to the Western Union office to wire the

money sometimes they ask you why are you doing that. If you will

tell them that they are for something you have bought, I will have to

pay when I pick up the money a very expensive tax for making

commerce. Please say you send the money to your friends or to your

partner.

Hello,

You're offering the Canon 20D at amazon market place for $900,00.

How can you offer that price?
From where will the cam be shipped.

What about guarantee and shipping costs?
Where was it manufactured? Is it a grey import or why is it that cheap?

Sincerely yours,

*me*

SCAM - pure and simple. Run, do not walk away from anyone who only takes payment via Western Union - your money is gone and you will NEVER see the camera. These scams are all over eBay and have been for years !
