I'm about to purchase my first digital camera. It will be used primarily for touristy type stuff...motorcycle trips...cruises...some family shots. It must be super compact.
I've pretty much settled on the Canon S230 or S330. The S230 has 3 meg but only 2x optical zoom. The S330 has 3x optical zoom but only 2 meg. Since I don't expect to generate too many 8 x 10 (or larger) prints, I'm inclined to go with the S330...but I'd be interested in guidance; that is, for the average recreational user, should I go for better zoom or higher megs? |

I would opt to purchase the 2mp camera with 3x optical zoom.
