Default Airport x-ray.

Does airport x-ray damage compact flash or
mini-dv film?

The airport monitor systems have never caused problems with my camera media.

It is the airport's responsibility to give you any and all information you require about putting items through an x-ray scanner. I would agree wholeheartedly with the responses you've gotten thus far, except that we are living in a time of greatly heightened security and, while the answers given may be true this month, who knows what kind of high powered x-ray machine or infrared scanner they're going to roll out next month?
