Default OCR from digital camera

I'm interested in being able to shoot documents in an office setting (on the fly) with a hand held digital camera and OCR them later. I've tried a couple of low end 2 meg pix cameras and am not wild about the results. It would seem that if there was a digital camera that took only black and white that I'd get a lot better resolution with much smaller file sizes. Is there such an animal? Assuming that one does not exist, what's the next best thing?
Thanx.

The olympus c4000 and C4040 can be set to shoot only black and white. Many other digital cameras have the same capability.

D7 family cameras have a specific “Text Mode” program ( along with night portrait, sport , etc … directly selectable with the “P” button ) which is optimized for text shot . I don’t know about file size . If you are interested in that model, I could make some test for you , with your instructions (with my D7i) . They are 5 Mpix though (D7, D7i,D7Hi).
