I've been a huge fan of Steve's Digicam since 1997 where eventually itguilded meto my first purchase of a digital camera format..the Nikon 800 (which I might add still takes pictures as good as my new 5mp camera :)

My problem is withSteve's forums..I just can't handle theBLACK background, the contrast is not easy on the eyesfor muchreading even on a higher end LCDmonitor the contrat is too much after just a few threads,it works great in his review sections where they use much larger fonts.I'm sure there's some here who like it this waybut I'd be willing to say most would prefer the much more "easy on the eye" light grey/white with black which the eye's adjustbetter to when reading. (think of a book with black pages and white print)I'm whining only because I find myself *almost*avoiding the forums here (which I miss)and instead/mostlyusing sites like dcresource.comand *only* because of this issue.

I bring this up beacuse others have posted simular comments in other photogroups who also are Steve fans (who isn't)..I wasn't sure ifit had been discussed here or if it's even open to discussion. :=) but I'd like to hear other opinions on this anyway.

go to "My Account" on the top of this page
then go to the "Preferences" tab
then change the "Board Theme"

I think it's just a preference thing maybe. I like the black background with white writing. I have my computer monitor settings adjusted so that the white writing on black background is easy to read. Eg...can adjust the contrast setting on the monitor etc.
