Default Batteries

I have just got a new Sony P71 camera and the book says not to use alkaline batteries, but in Steve's review he saids you can use AA alkaline till you get your NI-MH charged. Can you do this without harming your camera. Thanks Bill

Yes I'd say but they'll burn up in no time. Save them for something else.

you can use the alkalines, but they will drain in no time. Especially if you use the lcd display or have the preview feature turned on.
