This post should be deleted.

Yes, people come to Steves for reviews and to converse with others about digi cams, but no need to get on Steve about getting a review done.

Hey Ryan,

And some people look at Steve's board to see what HE thinks....and when he says he will have a conclusion done, and twice, it is not done, we get to rattle him. It's not just about chatting on this site, it is about getting advice too.

Shulaj,

With all due respect, I suggest you that Stand Down.

Know this: Steve's Digcams was the first web site created that was devoted solely to digital photography.

Steveand hissmall number of staffdo an incredible job with his web site.

He is most gracious andmost generous.

He does dozens and dozens of in-depth reviews on new digital cameras and accessories every year.

His reviews are organized by the same standard subtopics each time so a forum member, if she/he chooses, can go right to his/her preferred"meat" of the review be it specifications, conclusions, the photos themselves, etc.

He is very receptive to constructive suggestions. I feel humbled that such a knowledgable person has accepted some suggestions I have respectfully submitted to him.

In spite of great hassle due to shipping regulations, he still keeps Photo of the Month winner eligibilityopen to submissions from anywhere in theworld.

Often, he waits to do a final review because he has a preproduction model of a new camera. To be ultimately fair to both the camera vendor and to forum members, he waits until he has a production model to review. You may be surprised to know that production models are often "on the shelves" before Steve has one!

This is a FREE site. Though Steve would and does accept contributions to keep it going, he does not ask it of his members. If he ever asked for an annual fee to help defray expenses, I would pay it in a heartbeat.

Whether you believe it or not, you owe Steve an apology.

Thanks for listening, shulaj.

Well, thanks Digicamfan! But it was kinda my fault as I did post a date as to when the conclusion would be posted - and we missed it, twice. The Rebel XT review is now completed although we may still append it if necessary if we see a drastic difference with the newer kit lens.

Steve provides a great site, and if he charged, I would be second in line (after digcamfan) to pay.

Steve provides a great medium for people to gather and discuss various topics about digital photography. So what if Steve is 5 days late on a review.

It just bugs me that people use this great forum to bash others when they don't get their way or get what they want. Can't we all just get along???
