Hi

I have been using for several months a 5 Mpx Caplio GX with AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. With this type of battery, the battery level indicator is not very accurate, so always have a spare set with you. Ricoh recommends the use of a Li-ion battery, which should also shorten the time to transfer the file to the memory card, but I did not experience it.

Regards

Hi,

I'm currently using standard 1800 mAh Ni-MH batteries and live with the problem I explained in my previous post. Ricoh France customer service told me high capacity (2500 mAh) 1.25v Ni-MH batteries would be far better, but I have not tried them yet.

Regarding Li-ion battery, Ricoh supplies them as an accessory, but at a price, and you can get cheaper, for example in France athttp://www.electronic-boulevard.com/...24DD48CA738326for the battery and http://www.electronic-boulevard.com/...F106839F1EB9CEfor the charger.
