Default Helping you through the digicam maze!

When I was choosing my third digicam around 6 months ago, It quickly became clear that the more research I did, the more confused I became! This problem is only getting worse, with more and more cameras appearing which more or less do the same thing!

Cut through the hype and start here. Download your free, simple guide to what actually matters when buying a digicam here:

http://www.photopix.co.uk

So easy you can give it to your granny!

Nice One! Good to see Steves-Digicams is a recommended site in the guide!

A sequel to this buying guide needs to help users who bought the cams with whistles and bells, to take decent pics! If you haven't done so I'll post your link on the Newbie section.

Well, all you need to do is pick up any book on SLR photography, that will cover shutter speeds and f-stops and other advanced settings (there's millions of books), and a good place to start is your local library.

If you can't get out, a good place to start online is http://www.photocourse.com/ which is a free online "book" on digital photography basics and advanced things like shutter speeds, lens openings, depth-of-field, etc.
