Default need hlp wih bad pics

I have an olympus c700 and only once in a while do i get great pics. Last nite i set the camera up on auto and flash on set the timer and let it take the pic , it came out horrible. I now since i was not holding the camera i know it didnt move , had plenty of lite and the flash was also on , can figure it out ... help ?????

hdshp,
Might be from zooming out to far with the 10X optical, that reduces the area of available light. Also was digital zoom on or off?

Without seeing the picture we can't say anything...at least the Exif info would be better than nothing.

I did not use the zoom , and the digital was not being used . I just spent 20 minutes trying to register to that fregging yahoo , with no luck .. where can i post photos for you to look at ?

www.pbase.com is what most people like, because it also displays Exif info.
