what do you mean by "The pics are very compressed"? If you see 8x8 blockiness, that is excessive JPEG compression and cannot be undone. JPEG compression is lossy - it throws away some of the information in order to decrease the file size of the image. With slight compression, the loss is not serious.

Likely the solution is to not compress them by as much in the first place. Read the manual and figure out how to change the compression settings.

Of course knowing what a U20 is would help. I suggest going into the forum here that matches the brand of the camera and asking there becuase you will meet more people there who will know that camera and may have a solution.

All we can say here is RTFM (Read The Full Manual(s)) and go ask in the specific forum...we only know our own cameras; I know mine has an uncompressed format, but it's no use telling you how to do it on my camera.

Yes, even if you read the manual, you might still be coming here. Some of the manuals are really bad. Mike_PEAT is right, go to the forum which is oriented to the Make of camera you use. You'll have a much higher chance of finding someone who knows that camera.

Asking questions instead of reading the manual is why people don't read the Newbe and General Help forum. Many people would rather help people who first try to help themselves, than someone who immedately goes for a handout.
