Darby

Mac just dropped prices today and introduced some new G4 pricing. I use both Macs and Dells for photo editing and publishing. The Dell or Mac will work for you. The pricing on a new DELL is under $600, 256mb RAM, 2.4ghz processor, cd rw, 32mb video, Windows XP.

as to why i prefer the emac, though it may no look as cool, it is cheaper for basically the same stuff. Also, the only thing I prefer crt's for is gaming because of the refresh rate, not to mention the cost issue.

No, I'm not a troll. (Why would you think I am??)
PC vs Mac is one of the clasic troll topics. One that never gets resolved.

I din't think you were one when I said "... and don't seem to be a troll, ..." - just that you were a newbie. If that is the case, really think about where you are going to go for help when you try to figure out what to do when a little box shows up saying something like, "To continue, hit any key."

I've had two Dells at home for personal, home use, including digital pictures. They work just fine. No problems at all.

I used a Dell once, just wanted to smash the thing. Much happier with my store built machines.
