Default what to buy....$400-600

in the $400-600 range what is the best cam to buy...

You have many camera choices in this price range. You selection will be larger if you purchase on the internet. You can check selection at www.dealtime.com. This site provides ratings by people who have purchased from the online site.

What types of shots are you interested in?
You should only look at opcitcal zoom and how much zoom do you want?
Will you need macro function?
Will you need low light capability?
Do you need the movie mode with or without sound?

We need a little more info to help you.
